Thanks to the initiative of the Austrian Honorary Consul in Mersin Fazil Tütüner to show the "Love Story" painted by Doris Bandera and written by Can Öztas, who originates from Mersin, the Mersin Chamber of Commerce and Industry was so generous as to host Iznik in Progress in the lovely Mediterranean City of Mersin....Visit the gallery

The Salus Restaurant, run by its energetic owners Ahmet and Nurten Dogan in the Sports International in Bilkent, hosted the first full fledged exhibition of Iznik in Progress, ranging from table ware, home decoration and tiles to furniture.

BURSA TOWN HALL

9th April 2007
The City of Bursa, Ottoman capital in the 14th century, invited local and international artistes to participate in a visual art competition in several areas including glass, textile, leather, metal, paper and ceramics with the aim of identifying reproducible souvenirs depicting tourist attractions or typical scenes of Bursa. Iznik in Progress is proud to announce that Doris Bandera won the first price in the ceramics (cini) category....Visit the gallery

Together with the famous porcelain painter Saim Kolhan from Kütahya, home of generations of potters and painters, Iznik in Progress participated in the annual arts and crafts exhibition in the Atatürk Cultural Centre.

Diyarbakir Conference

15th November - 19th November 2006
Iznik in Progress was invited to participate in an EU funded historic conference and exhibition of the University of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey TOBB ETU by invitation of the Governor of Diyarbakir in the Southeast of Turkey. The aim of the conference was to portray the Ottoman period in Diyarbakir and its influence on the history, visual arts and architecture of those days.
